About

Built to give video editors
the protection they never had.

Our story

Why we exist.

Video editing is one of the most technically demanding creative professions out there. It requires weeks of work, technical precision, and real creative investment. Chasing invoices and managing payment disputes was never part of the job. But too often, clients pay late, dispute the payment after downloading the final cut, or just stop responding entirely.

Most editors take the hit and move on. The system was never built to help them fight back.

We asked a simple question: what would a payment system look like if it was built entirely around protecting the person doing the work? The answer was escrow. Client funds locked before the project starts, released when the work is delivered. We built Coredon around that idea.

We are based in Canada, and we are building the payment infrastructure freelance video editors have needed for a long time.

Our mission is to make sure no video editor delivers a project without getting paid.

Our Values
01

Freelancers first.

Every decision we make starts with the freelancer. Not the client, not the platform — the person doing the work. Coredon exists to shift the power back where it belongs.

02

Trust is built, not assumed.

We don't ask freelancers to trust clients blindly, and we don't ask clients to take our word for it. We build systems — escrow, contracts, watermarking — that make trust structural.

03

Simple by design.

Getting paid for your work shouldn't require a legal degree. We handle the complexity behind the scenes so the experience for freelancers and clients stays clear, fast, and fair.

04

Compliance is not optional.

We operate under Canadian law — PIPEDA and Loi 25 — and we take that seriously. Regulatory compliance isn't a checkbox for us. It's the foundation of every feature we ship.
