About

Built to give video editors
the protection they never had.

Our story

Why we exist.

Video editing is one of the most technically demanding creative professions out there. It requires weeks of work, technical precision, and real creative investment. Chasing invoices and managing payment disputes was never part of the job. But too often, clients pay late, dispute the payment after downloading the final cut, or just stop responding entirely.

Most editors take the hit and move on. The system was never built to help them fight back.

We asked a simple question: what would a payment system look like if it was built entirely around protecting the person doing the work? The answer was escrow. Client funds locked before the project starts, released when the work is delivered. We built Coredon around that idea.

We are based in Canada, and we are building the payment infrastructure freelance video editors have needed for a long time.

Our mission is to make sure no video editor delivers a project without getting paid.

Our Values
01

Freelancers first.

Every decision starts with the freelancer. When we have to choose between what is convenient for the platform and what protects the person doing the work, we choose the person doing the work.

02

Transparency.

No hidden fees, no surprises, no fine print that changes the deal. The fee you see is the fee you pay. That is the whole agreement.

03

Simple by design.

Getting paid for your work should not require a lawyer. We handle the complexity on our end so the experience for both sides stays clear and fast.

04

Responsibility.

We launched in Canada only because operating correctly matters more than operating everywhere. We use Stripe because holding client funds ourselves would require regulatory infrastructure we are not ready to maintain. We do things the right way, even when the shortcut exists.
